I was JUST reading something about doing you own seders and can’t remember right now. I’ll keep thinking and let you know the link when I recall it
As far as Haggadah’s, I would definitely invest in buying an actual one and use excerpts from things you find online that enhance your own values. [...] -

I actually mentioned the Chabad blow torch thing in an earlier reply to Debbie that is now disappeared. Avi, it’s the one where I commented in an odd place. Do you know where that is so I can re-add it to this thread?
Thanks

Hey,
Ok…let’s see here.
My understanding is that even if you don’t intend on using your oven for Pesach, you still must kasher your home for Pesach and the oven is included. We always properly clean our OLD SCHOOL oven which is tricky. We do our best.
I kasher the oven by following this method: For non-self-cleaning ovens: Thoroughly clean the interior and exterior surfaces of the oven and do not use it for a full 24-hour period. Then, it must be burned at maximum temperature for at least one hour. I don’t cover the inside of the oven with foil because it’s from the late 1940’s or early 1950’s and there are some basic circulation things I don’t want to mess with.
Now, the reason we don’t really use the oven is simple. We live in a small one bedroom. We don’t host guests for Pesach. We have a dairy kitchen which means I have no large turkeys, chickens, etc to deal with. To top all that off, as I listed in the last posting, we don’t have much cookware for the oven, just a couple things. When we move to a larger place we’ll grow our Pesach stuff. Trust me, there is only so much space in a one bedroom. And so…we use the toaster when we want to ”bake” something. I mostly use it for Matzah toast for breakfast and Matzah pizza. I have also baked Matzah brittle in it though now I do that on large cookie sheets in the oven.
Hope that clarifies some
In reply to - Debbie B posted on the forum topic Kashrut in the group Jewish Observance : Tamara: Do you mean that you have a Pesach toaster *oven*? What would you do with a Pesach toaster? Toast matzah? Carla: Do you already have separate meat/dairy/pareve dishes, cookware, and utensils, but did not previously kasher and use different dishes, etc for Pesach? That [...] · View -

Hi there, I am Avi’s wife and though I haven’t posted and navigated the new site as much as I should, I have been reading along. So…my husband shared that I had a Chabad rabbi teach me and kasher my kitchen; this is true. I also spent a lot of time with a couple Chabad [...]
