Apparently Judaism is the only "religion" that can be proven scientifically! Watching/listening to this now so to soon to comment but in general I’m not a fan of these types of absolute truth claims.

More great stuff from a Rabbi who continues to impress me with his take on how to engage a deep Judaism. In this series of lectures R. Creditor paints what is IMO a very compelling argument for living an observant and committed life without needing to necessarily subscribe to a literalist view of commandedness as [...]

I listened to all of these some months ago, and had a chance to revisit them recently. The second (“Movements and Denominationalism”) and fourth (“Why not Oysters?”) talks are the most enlightening and interesting, IMO. Those are the only two that I ultimately added to my “Jewish Learning” audio collection.

@Chris – You are Welcome! Oh and I agree about Deb’s community, seems like a solid group. That being said I still think its better here in LA. LOL!

Christopher: I know I am truly blessed to be a part of my wonderful minyan. I love it enough that I got up much earlier than I would have liked to for morning minyan (and I’m NOT a morning person, and I was up well past midnight) because several regular attendees are out of town [...]

Hi, Debbie. Interestingly, this is one of the shuls that I am considering approaching to undergo formal conversion. I’ve corresponded a very little bit with Rabbi Creditor and, apparently, my girlfriend, who is from the Bay Area, has a lot of friends who grew up in the shul long before they had their own building. [...]

Thank you for the link, Avi. I look forward to listening.
Debbie, I’ve written it before, but it bears repeating. You seem to have landed in a truly wonderful situation with respect to your minyan. I can only hope that I will be similarly fortunate.

Rav. Artson’s latest’s Q&A podcast is now available online. For those of you not in the know, Rav Artson is the Dean of the Ziegler School of Rabbinic’s at American Jewish University here in LA. Every month he runs a Q&A session for his rabbinic students. I for one find them very helpful, not to mention freaking [...]

Just found these a few minutes ago so its too soon for me to offer up any sort of review but it looks like they might be good. Rabbi Creditor: “Dynamic Judaism” This is a series of monthly talks by Rabbi Menachem Creditor of Netivot Shalom Jan. 25: Dynamic Judaism: “An Introduction”.
