iObserve – Brachot for your iPhone

How cool is this! image

  • Every Bracha comes in Hebrew, English and transliterated. Learn to pronounce by reading the transliterated version, learn to understand by reading in English. And then brush up your Hebrew!
  • Complete Birkat Hamazon Face it: It’s quite long. But it’s also extremely rewarding to say it.
  • Some blessings for special occasions. We are constantly extending the list of brachot and prayers. Expect some updates in the upcoming days and weeks.

  1. Oooh, I want that for my Sprint Mogul! Now please :)

  2. I don’t think that will work on it but maybe there is something else similar out there, that will work on Windows Mobile. I’m sure there is.

  3. $7 isn’t bad.

There’s also a siddur for $10 at the AppStore (although I’ve not looked at it so, no review…

    Much less expensive than books!

Personally, I rather like prayers on the iphone :-)

  4. Here are some other Jewish options for your mobile devices :)

    1) http://www.jewberry.com/
    2) Free Hebrew/Jewish calendar for the BlackBerry: http://www.berryreview.com/2007/07/16/free-jewish-hebrew-calendar-for-blackberry/
    3) And I’m trying to get this on my BB right now, but am not having loads of luck: http://www.jewishcontent.org/pda/blackberry/ota.html

Getcher Jew on, on the go! I like reading stuff on Chabad.org on my BB. I’ve been known to take down the weekly parsha on the train :)

  5. If you are interested in another option for the BlackBerry, take a look at Hebrew in Hand, at
    http://www.hebrewinhand.com/
We have recently posted our Beta release for the BlackBerry platform. Hebrew in Hand is free. It is a reader, with a growing catalog of Hebrew texts, and is the only reader available now that supports fully pointed Hebrew — vowels and cantillation marks. All of the haftarot and megillot are available, as well as mincha, maariv, and more.

  6. Marsha — I’ll have to give this a go. I can’t seem to get the other software onto my BB anyhow. I’ll let you know how it is!
