We Bid a Fond Farewell to Yankel Kvetch
Last week JBC contributor Yankel Kvetch informed me that he was (unfortunately) going to be stepping down as a regular contributor here on the JewsByChoice blog. I can’t say, that I am glad to be seeing him go, but I understand. When Yankel agreed to take part in this project back in September, he only could commit to three months. Knowing Yankel the way I do, I fully understand and support his decision. He is truly supportive of this project, not to mention all of our contributors. In fact just today over lunch he was telling me, how well he thought the blog was doing, and that we all should feel proud of what, we have accomplished here in such a short time.
Yankel has assured me that although, he just doesn’t have the time to commit to continued regular posting on the blog. He will indeed be reading and commenting whenever he can. Also (although we haven’t spoken about this) I wouldn’t be surprised if down the road, he still does the occasional guest post.
On behalf of everyone here at JewsBychoice.org, I would like to thank Yankel for his help getting things rolling here at JBC.org over the past few months.
I thought as part of our send off, I would include linkage to all of his posts.

Hey Yankel,
I’m lucky because I still get to see you now and again and hear your stories. Unfortunately, the rest of our readers won’t. That’s really too bad because you truly are an amazing story teller and writer. Your posts always received comments and love.
I personally hope to see you keep blogging, if not in this format, then perhaps on a blog specific to Yankel and his stories. You are a great writer, I say write sir!
Oh, and by the way, I know you loved the book…but did it make you cry?
I’ll miss seeing you here…seriously I will. Be well my friend, and I’ll see you soon in our hood, perhaps it’s time for a Shabbat get together and some Apples to Apples?
Hey Yankel,
I have seriously enjoyed your insights in both your posts and your comments. And let me say that as a JBC who is serious about living Judaism, your acceptance and encouragement have been helpful. I hope you stick around and add your two shekelim often, and that you take Avi up on his suggestion that you’d be welcome to contribute as a guest writer!
Be well, and Shabbat Shalom!
kol tuv,
Yair
