This Months Ask Rabbi Ginsburg Video On: Tzineus (Jewish Modesty) Traditions and Laws

As I mentioned in an earlier post , Rabbi Jonathan Ginsburg (who I have dubbed the YouTube Rabbi) has generously agreed to begin taking monthly halachah/observance questions from JewsByChoice.org and then upload his answers to YouTube. We are very fortunate that Rabbi Ginsburg has agreed to share his expertise and knowledge with us here at JBC.Org and I for one, am looking forward to watching how this all unfolds, and more importantly getting the chance to learn from Rabbi Ginsberg.
We are still figuring out the best way to do this, so I ask that you all (not that you wouldn’t) be patient while we work all of the (inevitable) kinks out.
So for our first question, I asked Rabbi Ginsburg if he could talk about his take on Tzineus (Jewish Modesty). The Rabbi does a nice job of introducing us to the basic concepts and history related to “Tzniut”. I was hoping that the Rabbi would touch on some of the more practicable aspects of this subject, but he didn’t really get into that too much. Unfortunately this is my own fault, in that I didn’t actually ask him to cover such specifics. I will thefore ask him if he is willing to do a follow up video, where he can share some advice on practical ways to incorporate Tzineus (for both men and women form a non-orthodox, egalitarian perspective) in to daily life.
Also the Rabbi said he would be willing to take a few questions, so if you have any please feel free to post them as comments below.
