A Couple Of Teffilin Videos
I thought as a follow-up to Yair’s excellent post on Teffilin yesterday, I would to share a couple of videos on the subject that I recently found online, while researching information on this Mitzvah.
Neither of these clips are what I would call high end or comprehensive but what’s nice about them is that they cover the subject from a non-Orthodox point of view. Typically these kind of videos are produced by organization such as Chabad or Aish. Without wanting to put either of these two groups down, I think it’s nice to have access to something a little closer to home, theologically speaking that is.
Anyhow I hope you enjoy them.
The first is a short and quick to the point introduction video by everyone’s favorite YouTube Rabbi Jonathan Ginsburg.
The second video runs over 20 minutes and is titled ” Teffilin 101 - a basic guide”.
Here is the video description blurb as found on the Google page.
Rabbi Irwin S. Beigel provides an informative description on the use of Tefillin which are used in traditional Jewish prayer. This video will make you a Tefillin mavin. Produced by the Beth Tzedec Synagogue, Men’s Club, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Thanks for sharing these videos… much more informative!
I also found this video to be of use…

Sadly, it’s in RealPlayer format… but I also found the Rabbi to be quite funny (specially in his video on the prayer shawl!)
Hey Huw
Glad you you found the videos to be of value and more importantly, I’m glad that someone finally felt one of more recent posts was worth commenting on! LOL!
PS I will check out your link!
